| Your hunt begins the next day as you go by horseback to the spike camps. This is where the true wilderness begins. The spike camps are comfortable wall tents equipped with wood stoves to keep you warm and dry. The only access to the outside world is via satellite phone. Depending on the need and animal that you are hunting, you can hunt by horse, motorboat, ATV, snow machine canoe or on foot. | |

| While you are out in the field, you should have waterproof daypack in case of rain. You want to keep you extra clothes dry so you are always comfortable. You should bring an expedition style sleeping bag, and good rain gear. A thermo rest is also very important for those nights at spike camp. Hiking boots of good quality are essential. These should be waterproof as well. |

| It is not uncommon to spot B&C Mountain Caribou bulls on nearly every hunt in the fall. It is also not uncommon to take a caribou during a hunt for any other species. Wolf and wolverine are available on any hunt, and can turn up anywhere. It seems that many are seen, but fewer are taken. We had our chances at wolves this past fall, with opportunities on every hunt. Only 6 of these opportunities did we succeed, with many wolves grown wiser with their last human encounter. |
